Overview

As an International Fan Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client’s global presence by transforming fan data into actionable insights that drive international growth and engagement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with marketing, business stakeholders, international teams, and clubs to analyze fan activity and uncover opportunities to expand and deepen fan relationships across key international markets.

 

You will combine strong analytical and technical capabilities with strategic thinking to translate complex datasets into clear, business-friendly insights. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports, curious about fan behavior, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment to support data-driven decision-making and marketing performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Hands-on Analytics

  • Query complex fan and marketing datasets using SQL, Python, or similar tools
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable fan insights
  • Apply rigorous critical thinking to problem solving and analytical solution design
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, business-friendly insights for stakeholders
  • Deliver end-to-end analytical outputs including data exploration, analysis, and insight delivery
  • Assist in UAT for new datasets and pipelines to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with business requirements
  • Partner with data engineering teams in root cause analysis (RCA) of data issues and bugs

Marketing Performance and Optimization

  • Partner with marketing teams to develop and enhance audience segmentation capabilities for acquisition, engagement, and retention campaigns
  • Support campaign planning and strategy with data-driven insights
  • Evaluate 1:1 marketing campaign data requirements and enable seamless campaign execution with defined test/control groups and success criteria

International Club Support

  • Deliver fan analysis and market insights to support local engagement and marketing initiatives across priority international markets
  • Partner with clubs to translate league-wide fan data into actionable insights that drive fan growth and engagement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, international teams, privacy & legal, and club partners to align strategies and execution
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data product teams to define and document business requirements
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation
  • Engage with third-party partners to assess data quality, troubleshoot discrepancies, and identify opportunities to enhance fan insights

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Economics, Business Analysis, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience using SQL, Python, or other data querying tools
  • 1+ years of stakeholder management or cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into business recommendations
  • Experience delivering end-to-end analytical work, from data exploration to stakeholder presentation
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with both technical and business audiences
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity when approaching complex analytical questions
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working across multiple teams to drive clarity and outcomes

NICE TO HAVE 

  • Understanding of data modeling concepts, data pipelines, and cloud data platforms
  • Experience working with consumer or fan data
  • Experience supporting marketing analytics, audience segmentation, or campaign performance measurement
