Overview

Adastra is hiring an experienced Application Development Lead to architect and deliver enterprise-grade applications leveraging Azure Entra for identity and access management. This is a leadership role that combines technical expertise with strategic vision to guide development teams and ensure secure, scalable solutions

 

Location: Across Canada

Work Mode: Fully Remote

Status: Contract (Short-term)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead application development initiatives from design through deployment, ensuring best practices and high-quality standards
  • Architect and design applications leveraging Azure services and Azure Entra for identity and access management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and align solutions with business objectives
  • Drive adoption of modern development frameworks and cloud-native architectures
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across all applications

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a lead or architect role within application development
  • Strong expertise in Azure App Services, Azure Entra, and related cloud technologies
  • Proficiency in C# for backend development
  • Hands-on experience with React and Next.js for modern front-end development
  • Solid understanding of identity management, authentication, and authorization patterns
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to mentor development teams

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in Azure
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud application development
