Do you have the expertise and creativity to drive cutting-edge Business Intelligence (BI) solutions? We are looking for a talented BI Architect to lead transformative projects on behalf of our Data Visualization practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing BI solutions, with a strong focus on capacity planning, establishing a Centre of Excellence, BI administration, advanced BI topics, and data modeling.

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development
  • Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions to meet business needs
  • Create data models and diagrams to illustrate BI solutions
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses, ETL processes, and data integration solutions
• Capacity Planning
  • Assess and plan for current and future BI system capacity needs
  • Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
  • Implement strategies to ensure scalability and reliability of BI systems
• Centre of Excellence
  • Establish and lead a BI Centre of Excellence to promote best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to BI teams
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in BI practices
• BI Administration
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of BI tools and platforms
  • Ensure data quality, security, and governance across BI systems
  • Conduct regular audits and performance tuning of BI applications
• Advanced BI Topics
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the BI field
  • Implement advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques
  • Drive the adoption of new BI tools and methodologies
• Data Modeling
  • Develop logical and physical data models to support BI initiatives
  • Collaborate with BI analysts to translate business requirements into data models
  • Ensure data models are optimized for performance and scalability

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience as a BI Architect or similar role for 5+ years
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling
• Expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS)
• Experience with Python and equivalent coding languages
• Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques
• Familiarity with data governance and data lifecycle management principles
