Location: Calgary, AB

Status: Full-Time, Permanent 


Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales:
    • Engage in initial discussions with AWS or clients, effectively presenting Adastra's value proposition, partnership benefits, and showcasing relevant use cases
    • Take ownership of client and partner follow-ups, fostering relationships and addressing inquiries
    • Design and deliver customer and partner presentations to clearly communicate technical solutions and their advantages
    • Develop proposals and Statements of Work, including pricing recommendations and team structures for successful project delivery
    • Lead customer workshops and ideation sessions to facilitate a deep understanding of solutions
  • Delivery
    • Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), contributing to high-impact engagements through hands-on delivery and execution.
  • Practice
    • Collaborate in the creation of win wires, success stories, and use cases to highlight new successes
    • Contribute to achieving partnership objectives, including securing technical certifications for Adastra
  • Addition
    • Identify and qualify AWS leads to drive cloud solution adoption
    • Conduct client demonstrations and presentations to showcase AWS services and Adastra's expertise
    • Lead AWS Skill Builder onboarding and training sessions for internal teams
    • Prepare RFP responses, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for AWS solutions
    • Collaborate with AWS Practice members to develop accurate cost estimates
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for AWS-focused webinars, articles, and marketing campaigns
    • Cultivate strong relationships with AWS sales teams to enhance collaboration on go-to-market strategies
    • Stay updated on AWS products and services to provide informed recommendations to clients and teams

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field
  • Solid experience as an AWS Solution Architect
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing large-scale cloud solutions
  • Previous experience with pre-sales, sales, and/or business development 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on customer engagement
  • Strong understanding of the AWS data platform and services
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Amazon SageMaker, Lambda, and ETL pipelines
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions in the cloud
  • Knowledge of Data Science and Advanced Analytics, with expertise in cloud deployment
  • Self-motivated and eager to stay updated on the latest cloud technologies

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with networking concepts and DevOps principles
  • Relevant AWS certifications
